World’s Largest Food Truck Rally To Occur August 31st in Tampa

Tampa, FL, July 29th, 2013 –The World’s Largest Food Truck Rally Festival will occur on Saturday, August 31st, 2013 at the Florida State Fairgrounds (4800 U.S. 301 Highway Tampa, FL 33610) from 11AM-8PM. Admission is FREE and parking is $6 at the fairgrounds. The event is being organized by Generation Food Truck owners Jeremy and Candy Gomez with participation from Carlos Hernandez of the Tampa-based local food blog, CarlosEats.com, and Michael Lynch, co-owner of the food truck locating app, Truckspotting. The Tampa Tribune is the events exclusive newspaper partner and 98Rock is the event’s exclusive radio partner. Other sponsors of Generation Food Truck for the event include Ace High Printing, Yelp, Verizon FiOS, and Full Throttle Magazine.

Food trucks from all over the country will be participating in this event from places as far as Texas and North Carolina. A parade of food trucks will be held with participation from the City of Tampa Mayor, Bob Buckhorn, to food truck rally tampabreak a world record previously set at Magic City Casino in Miami. Families can enjoy plenty of entertainment for children with 501st Legion international Star Wars costuming organization, bounce houses, and more. People of all ages will be able to enjoy a wide variety of gourmet food trucks and also enjoy music from 15+ live bands throughout the day.
